About the Artist
Sally King is a watercolor painter in New York City. She graduated from Brown University in 2007 with a B.A. in art history, and subsequently earned her Master’s in art history from Columbia University while working full-time in the American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is currently Associate Manager for Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Met.
Her artistic interest began early
(see below), and developed more formally through instruction at Fay School, St. Mark’s School, RISD, Belvoir Terrace, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She teaches private lessons in the tri-state area, paints by individual commission, and makes cards for all special occasions.
