Sally King

About the Artist

Sally King McBride is a watercolor painter and illustrator in New York City. She worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for over ten years, including positions in the American Wing, the Director’s Office, and most recently as Manager for Friends of Modern and Contemporary Art. She graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Art History, and earned her Master’s in Art History from Columbia University under The Met’s sponsorship. Her artistic interest began early (see below), and developed more formally through instruction at Fay School, St. Mark’s School, RISD, Belvoir Terrace, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She teaches private lessons in the tri-state area, paints by individual commission, and makes cards for all special occasions. Contact Sally at sally.k.mcbride AT gmail DOT com.
